OECD Income Distribution Database (IDD)

OECD Income Distribution Database (IDD)

To assess and monitor income inequality and poverty across countries, the OECD relies on a dedicated statistical database: the Income Distribution Database (IDD), which provides data on levels and trends in Gini coefficients before and after taxes and transfers, average and median disposable income of households, relative poverty rates and poverty gaps, before and after taxes and transfers, etc. Due to the growing importance of income inequality and poverty issues in policy discussions, the database is updated annually.
