São Paulo State Education Development Index (IDESP)

IDESP is an indicator that assesses school quality. In this assessment, it is considered that a good school is one where most students learn the skills and abilities required for their grade/year, within an ideal time period - the school year. IDESP is composed of two criteria: student performance in SARESP proficiency exams (how much they learned) and school flow (how long it took them to learn).
