Berkeley Earth - Air Pollution

In April 2014, Berkeley Earth began a new and important effort to collect and analyze air pollution data around the world. In August 2015, our first scientific paper on air pollution in China was accepted for publication by PLOS ONE (the projected publication date is August 20). The paper included four months of data, but we now have analyses and data for 16 months, from April 2014 to August 2015. We found that 1.6 million people die each year due to air pollution in China and we also were able to identify the sources of the air pollution.
