ICT Non-profit Organizations

ICT Non-profit Organizations

First conducted in 2012, the ICT Non-profit Organizations survey aims to investigate the access, use and appropriation of information and communication technologies by organizations such as NGOs, trade unions, associations, foundations and religious organizations in Brazil. The study seeks to understand the impacts of ICT on the work and the relationship between these organizations and their communities of action. The data presented in the survey focus on four main topics: - Information and communication technology infrastructure in organizations; - Use of ICT; - ICT skills and abilities; - Organization profile. The survey is conducted in collaboration with a group of experts composed of members of the Brazilian Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (ABONG), the Group of Institutes, Foundations and Companies (GIFE), the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA) and researchers from various universities. The survey considers Brazilian organizations listed in the IBGE's Central Business Registry (CEMPRE) that belong to legal nature 3. The classification of organizations by final activity was developed based on a combination of Legal Nature and market of action (CNAE), classifications arising from the registry. The sample of organizations is obtained through simple random sampling without replacement in each stratum formed by the intersection of the final activity, region and size defined by the number of people employed. For disclosure purposes, the ranges of paid people collected in the survey were considered. For institutional access to the survey's microdata, see the instructions on the page [www.cetic.br/microdados](https://www.cetic.br/microdados/).
