The Forest Origin Document (DOF) is a mandatory license for both the transportation and storage of native forest products. The DOF System, created by Ordinance No. 253, of August 18, 2006, of the Ministry of the Environment, consists of a system for registering commercial transactions, with information on the registration of the flow of native wood from its extraction to consumer companies. IBAMA is the body responsible for this database, which encompasses all states of the federation, with the exception of Pará and Mato Grosso, which use the Sisflora system, and Minas Gerais, which uses the SIAM system.
