CNPq grants scholarships for the training of human resources in the field of scientific and technological research, in universities, research institutes, technological centers and professional training, both in Brazil and abroad. In addition to promoting the training of human resources in strategic areas for national development, CNPq provides financial resources for the implementation of projects, programs and Research and Development (R&D) networks, directly or in partnership with the States of the Federation. CNPq also invests in scientific and technological dissemination activities with financial support for the editing and publication of periodicals, the promotion of scientific events and the participation of students and researchers in the main national and international congresses and events in the area of science and technology. Target Audience: High school and college students, at the postgraduate level, interested in working in scientific research, and specialists to work in Research and Development (R&D) in companies and technological centers. Types of Scholarships: CNPq offers various types of scholarships for training and research funding, for high school, undergraduate, postgraduate, post-doctoral students and experienced researchers from Brazil and abroad. Scholarships are awarded directly by CNPq or by educational and research institutions to which CNPq allocates scholarship quotas.
