The Brazilian Public Sector Accounting and Tax Information System (Siconfi) was developed as a tool to, among other objectives, facilitate the production and analysis of accounting and tax information, standardize consolidation mechanisms and increase the quality and reliability of accounting, financial and tax statistics information received from municipalities, states, the Federal District and the Union. The database includes data from Finbra, which go from 1989 to 2012, and from SICONFI, which go up to the most recent data available
