The Planetary Exploration Budget Dataset

The Planetary Exploration Budget Dataset

The planetary science budget dataset integrates the historical spending, by year, of all NASA planetary science missions and related activities. This annualized and integrated dataset allows for improved inflation adjustments and allows for direct comparisons between past and present planetary exploration efforts in the United States. It also allows for the analysis of ever-changing national priorities in space exploration, spending by destination, roles of major programs, research, launch costs, and much more. The dataset is hosted as a Google spreadsheet that can be viewed and downloaded in various formats by anyone, free of charge.
