National Exam for Certification of Competencies of Youth and Adults (Encceja)

The main objective of Encceja is to build a national reference for education for youth and adults through the assessment of competencies, skills and knowledge acquired in the school process or in the formative processes that develop in family life, human coexistence, work, social movements and organizations of civil society and cultural expressions, among others. Participation in Encceja is voluntary and free, intended for young people and adults residing in Brazil and abroad, including people deprived of liberty, who did not have the opportunity to complete their studies at the appropriate age. In Brazil and abroad, Encceja can be taken to apply for certification at the level of completion of elementary and high school. For elementary school certification, you must be at least 15 years old on the date of the exam. High school certification requires a minimum age of 18 years old on the day of the test.
