USAspending.gov is a government source of data on federal contracts and awards by state, congressional district (CD), county, city, and ZIP code. Award data in USAspending.gov is provided by federal agencies and represents contracts, grants, loans, and other forms of financial assistance. USAspending.gov also provides tools to examine the broader picture of federal spending obligations across budget function, agency, and object class categories. Using USAspending.gov to locate and compile accurate data on federal awards can be challenging due, in part, to ongoing data quality issues that have been identified by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). USAspending.gov users should be aware that while search results may be useful to inform the consideration of certain questions, such results may be incomplete or contain inaccuracies.
